Review

This Caldecott winner is a very funny book. An earnest but dull policeman gives the safety lecture at school but, although his tips are sincerely given, the audience is bored and even the teachers ignore him. When Gloria, the new police dog accompanies him, however, the audiences listen, laugh and applaud. That's because, behind his back, Gloria is acting out his tips in a hilarious way.
