Review

In this engaging book, Goode deftly blends pale shades of blue, green, brown, and gray to depict the author's fond memories of childhood days spent in the Appalachian mountains with her grandparents. Based on Cynthia's real life stay there, the book stresses the caring and simplicity of their lives.
